Overall an OK cruise. Up-charges for things that would be free on Celebrity

Last minute deal. We never sailed on NCL before so "why not". We are retired seniors 65-72 yo living in central Florida. We were on the NCL Escape for 7 nights out of Miami. We have taken multiple cruises on Royal Caribbean big ships, HAL, Carnival, but mostly Celebrity (which is our preference). On this trip, three stops during 7 days and we chose not to leave the ship.

Things that we have never seen/experienced before:

* A "FREE" beverage package that did not include gratuities. You have to pay $200 up front for gratuities on your "free" beverage package 7 day cruise.

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BE

Compact and efficient, just like most new ships. There are only shelves and no drawers.
