We chose this cruise because we wanted an accessible way to visit Alaska. Yes, the boat shows some age, but we had a great time. We purchased the drink package ahead of time w/ the Go Best offer because we like to drink and couldn't imagine a huge bar bill at the end of a vacation. Wi-fi was a bit of a bust.
We did ziplining, shopping, eating, sight-seeing, sun-soaking and day drinking. The buffet for breakfast had a decent selection. Yes, you had to look for a table mostly because everyone wanted to sit by the window. Blu was very good. Quisine was my favorite. The comment about the cruise entertainer is right on. I met several lovely people and saw stunning scenery. My H and I are thinking about doing a Norway/Fjords cruise, next. We like the cold-weather cruises...something about being at sea breathing in crisp, cool air in the sun!
Wish there were more diverse entertainment. The art auction thing is ridiculous. Who goes on a cruise to buy art on the ship? The art isn't even native to the region we were cruising. The naturalists were great.
