NCL Spirit is a lovely smaller ship with a beautiful Asian theme. We chose this ship for the Mediterranean Itinerary and for the price. We loved the NCL casual cruising! The food was good everywhere. We were not expecting 1/2 the menu in the main dining rooms to have extra costs involved and this was a bit disappointing. The buffet food was excellent with lot's of choices and different items at the carving station every night. Blue Lagoon was amazing with the best chicken wings, hamburgers and fish & chips. We had a port midship balcony which was very convenient. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was great! We enjoyed hanging out at the pool and at the Biergarten on Deck 13. We also enjoyed Galaxy of the stars and we caught a few shows at the Theatre. With such a port intensive cruise (9 ports in 12 days) we didn't really have a chance to use more of the ships services as we were often very tired at the end of the day. We did not use any of the ships overpriced shore excursions. We had private tours with others that we met on cruise critic roll call. All of our tours were excellent usually with 6-8 people. All ports stops we were off the ship in minutes from the arrival times.

Overall we thought the ship was Great!

Port Reviews

Toulon

Tour Designer in Provence - very lovely tour of Cassis and Marseille with some very lovely views. We visited a local market in Cassis and we enjoyed the small fishing port very much

Mykonos

The beauty of Mykonos must be experienced. We just walked around the island, ate and had drinks at a beautiful cafe. One of the most romantic and memorable stops for us. Would love to return and spend a week here!

Kotor

The sail in and out of Kotor is incredible. We were tired and didn't do very much at this port, but we enjoyed the ship's pool and had our own private oasis with the stunning mountains all around!
