We first looked at this particular cruise because it fit the time slot we had open. Once we started looking in more detail we were very impressed with the design of the rooms on the Panorama. And we liked the combination of several days in Vienna and Budapest along with 3 nights on the boat.
As things turned out we were extremely happy with the overall package and with the boat in particular. We enjoyed the other passengers, the food, the guides, the staff, and the amazing places we got to see!
We ended up doing the Schonbrun tour in Vienna as well as the evening concert. Both were really excellent. Along the way we did the bicycle tour and enjoyed that as well. Finally, in Budapest we did the lights of the city at night tour, which was gorgeous! The tours that were included were also very worthwhile. We really ended up learning a lot about the history of the region!
We really liked the way we could open the floor to ceiling windows in the room to give a balcony effect. And the positioning of the bed so we could look out the windows was great. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and all the space was very well thought out. The truth is that we didn't spend that much time in our cabin - there were much more interesting things to do on shore and elsewhere on the ship.
The Abbey at Melk is truly remarkable.
We were totally charmed by the old town of Bratislava!
