Anniversary Getaway

I wanted to provide a short review of the Norwegian Getaway to help others as the reviews on here helped me!

We cruised the Getaway September 4-11, 2016. The night before we stayed in the Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay which was a $15 Uber drive from the airport. The airport was very near the cruise port and we could see the ships on our balcony. I would definitely use this hotel if we cruise through Miami again.

Cabin Review

Spa Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M9

I LOVED the bathroom and felt the extra large space there and the 6 additional shower heads were well worth the additional money. The room itself was small. Just enough space to walk around the bed and it had a small sofa. The bed was horribly lumpy and uncomfortable. The Balcony small as stated by other posters. The biggest gripe about the room was the A/C unit. You would set it to cold and it would turn itself off after a short while. I suppose it was eco friendly, but it made for a VERY hot room in the evenings while sleeping. You could definitely hear the moving of chairs in the early AM as well as the evening of the teen party at the pool you heard the music . The waterfront noise also filtered up when they were being fairly raucous at 3 am. Our room steward Germano was great!

Port Reviews

Roatan

Jolly Rodger Catamaran and snorkeling was great fun!

Belize City

Butts up Cave tubing was a lot of fun and we did NOT have to carry our own tubes

Cozumel

Harassed to buy Marijuana and drugs. Harassed to shop at each store and try Tequila.
