Just got home from our Alaska cruise aboard the Grand Princess. The people were lovely, the service was good (most of the time), the food and the entertainment were amazing! BUT, the carpets are worn, there was a whole in one of the decorative pillars, upholstery was torn... the whole place needs a good refurbishing! It's such a shame to see the ship this run down...

We didn't make use of the pool or the hot tub. It was kind of chilly for us to be that wet. But we ate by the pool most mornings. The buffet is our go-to spot for breakfast and it was wonderful as always. Oodles of selection and really good food. The made-to-order omelettes were our favorite. Then, for lunch, we either hit the buffet again, ate by the pool, or had pizza. I LOVED the hot dogs at the Trident Grill. And the soft serve ice cream is terrific!

We do anytime dining, so we had a different waiter every night in the Michaelangelo. Most of our service was great, but a few times we had to wait for food or received the wrong food. But, when the orders were corrected, the food was amazing! Not many chefs can cook a steak well done and still have it cut like butter! And I wish I could bring those french rolls home with me to eat every night!
