We chose this cruise because we had always wanted to return to Venice, and on this cruise we embarked and disembarked in Venice. As usual, the staff on Holland America was just exemplary. From Nia in the specialty restaurant (Canaletto's), to Camille in the Sea View Bar, as well as Gin, who seemed to be everywhere; these employees made our trip fun, enjoyable, and easy. The excursions we chose were also staffed by wonderful guides, many of whom were archaeologists and had a wealth of knowledge to impart on our tours. Our favorite dining site was Canaletto's which we frequented because the food was wonderful and the Canaletto's staff made us feel so special and welcomed.

The Greek Isles are just beautiful, from Santorini with the white cascading homes overlooking the sea to Mykonos and Crete. The archaeological sites at Ancient Olympia, the Palace of the Grand Masters in Rhodes, and the palace of Knossos and Archaeological Museum in Crete were highlights for us. We did not see the Doge's Palace in Venice, because we had toured it on a previous trip, but it is something you should not miss. Truly spectacular! I'd also like to mention some of the other employees who went out of their way: Sinead and Max in the casino. Edsel, Frederik, Henry, Roland, Poli, Augustin, Lawrence, Ryan,Bharam, and Jelly Belly. Tanya and the other piano bar singers were excellent, as well as the BB King Band. Great entertainment! We loved our cruise! Holland America, we will back!

Cabin Review

Superior Verandah Suite

Cabin SS

The cabin was wonderful! We had booked a veranda, and were upgraded shortly before embarkation to a signature suite, which gave us a little more room. Our cabin attendants, Cater and Irfan, did a wonderful job keeping our ice bucket refilled, our room refreshed, and surprising me with elephant towel designs (when they realized I love elephants!)
