Sail Date: Apr 2009

We sailed on the Caribbean Princess out of San Juan from 4/26 to 5/3.  Overall the cruise was great and we had a fantastic time.

We flew down to San Juan the day prior and Stayed at the Marriott Stellaris in San Juan.  Hotel was okay.  Service seemed a little off and slow.  Room was not ready till after 4pm.  We stayed on points and if I had to pay to stay, I would have gone someplace else.  It is right on the beach which was nice.  We ate at Ummo for dinner which was an Argentine Steakhouse down the block from the hotel.

We left the hotel and took a cab to the pier at about 1pm on the day of embarkation.  Check in was a breeze and we had no problems and were on the ship in short order.  Dropped our carry on off in the room, made reservations of the Chef's Table, and we were off to eat in the Horizon Court and explore the ship.  We had anytime dinning and ate dinner around 6pm since the muster drill was at 8pm and we heard it can be busy in the anytime dinning room after the drill.  Saw the show and was on deck for the sail away at 11pm.  Sailaway party seemed a little more subdued than I have experienced in the past, but maybe because it was later.
