Great ports of call but disappointed with Royal Caribbean. Previous cruises with them had been quite satisfactory but food quality has declined, Alchol pricing and policy is the worst I've encountered in more than a dozen cruises, and the noise from the central atrium each night made getting enough sleep for the early disembarkation nearly impossible. The ship itself was quite nice despite being an older design, although there were some areas that were in need of updating. The multi story atrium is an attractive feature and allows a large number of guests to participate in events. But using it for load musical events until midnight subjects some guests to very annoying levels of noise and thumping base. It is impossible to have liquor in your room unless purchased by the drink at a bar and carried there. This is certainly expensive and inconvienent and done with the guest desires nowhere in mind. Also in room movies, which were free for decades now cost 11.99. Dining room food was well below expectation to the point that we ate all but one meal at the buffet. Onboard entertainment met our expectations and was generally worth attending. The itinerary was great but the cruising experience took our opinion of Royal Caribbean from above average to below average.
The cabin was nice enough, typically tight on space but well designed and functional. The problem was that we were subjected to the booming base sound of the music from the atrium every night. Requests to be relocated or have the music lowered had no effect. Disco night was almost unbearable.
