We originally chose this cruise to see the Northern Lights & the Faroe Islands. The Northern lights were a bust (not the ship's fault) but the Faroe Islands were mysteriously cancelled by Royal with no explanation. The dining on the ship was so so. Lobster tail only served once on a 16 night cruise and it was served on the same night as prime rib. Breakfast in the Windjammer was great and included (on a rotating basis) crepes, belgian waffles, pancakes & breakfast burritos made to order.

The cabins and the ship were clean but nothing special. The staff was friendly for the most part.

Afternoon shows on sea days were new & refreshing. You can only spend so much time & money in the casino. One of the slot machines in the casino that I like was broken when we were on this ship in February and it was still broken.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

We spent 2 nights here. Did the hop on hop off bus and visited the little mermaid statue. Interesting lifestyle with more bicycles than people.

Halifax

Horrible foggy foggy day. No whales but did see 1 seal and the crew pulled up a lobster trap and let us hold the lobster.
