Sail Date: Sep 2016
Cabin: Oceanview Stateroom

The ship itself is wonderful with lots of glass & see through as well as really nice interior. It includes several pools and different areas for relaxation. We also liked the various bars that played live music.

We chose a cabin with a window within the fantastica level, as it was situated on the 8th deck right above the reception area it allowed us fast access even when the lifts were too busy due to an influx of many people after dinner or after shows. The only negative is that some of the rarely used places in the drawer had not seen a cleaning cloth for half a year so putting any clothes there resulted in a huge stain of dust.. yuck!

I read some of the reviews of this ship and I can't see how the food could be a problem. We sailed last year with MSC Divina so the food was up to the same standard. WIth the formal dinner the great thing was that you could choose the amount of courses (up to 6 including the desert). Keep in mind though the formal dining is more of a social activity and it can take as much as 2 hours to complete as the waiters are quite busy servicing all the people under their care. We didn't mind this as we like sitting down over a bottle of wine and slowly going through the courses. All in all the level of the food in the dining is very high.
