It was with misgivings we boarded this ship having been on the Millenium at the same age 2 years ago. However we were pleasantly surprised - yes, the ship does need a refit or a very major refurbishment but it was clean . (The Millenium was not in 2014).
I will start with the good points as they are fewer.
1. Embarkation was good.
Very small balcony but cabin had adequate storage space. Although reported 3 times our television did not work. Safe was tiny and if more than half full the door would not close - so much for advice to keep important and valuable items secure. The grouting in the bathroom needed refreshing.
We have been to Venice many times but still find it to be a very unique place.
We loved the old walled city - stunning architecture and very clean. Unfortunately it was very hot and very busy. Found a lovely restaurant just outside the city walls where the service was excellent with views out to sea.
This is so picturesque it is like a painting. The sail in was breathtaking. The old city is well worth a visit - quaint narrow streets - very busy and very, very hot. We did an open top bus tour round the bay - amazing scenery - the bay looks as if it is totally enclosed like a lake!
Had been to Malta before but went to the Medina and, again, loved this walled city - so clean- beautifully kept grounds.
Did an open top bus tour which gave us an impression of the City. Not really to our liking as we found it to be dirty. We wer amazed at the houses and how they appear to cling on to the cliffs.
