We never take excursions as they are too expensive. After years of traveling, I feel comfortable venturing out on my own. I do my research before I travel and it comes out so much cheaper

Roatan

Did not like the port as its in a poor area. Not much to see and beach is 5 miles  away (which is not bad) taxi is about $25 pp and entrance to beach another $15 pp. Its a man made beach.

Belize City

Loved it, take the trolley that it's $3 pp each way. Drops you off in either stop 1 or 2 right in front of the beach. Has a boardwalk with shops. Negotiate your chair prices as everyone will try to get your business

Costa Maya

The port is nice very commercial. The nice beach is 45 min away and taxi is about $26 each way.
The closest beach we chose was ok as it had a lot of rocks and seashells

Cozumel

Nothing to do in the port of Miami. I live there

I rather save my money for when I get off the ports than spend to watch a show

NCL Getaway needs to add more and better activities, especially on ship days

Service:

The best service we received were at the restaurants, guest services, and cabin stewart

The worst service were the bartenders and the general workers that worked at different stations outside by the golf course or by the pool area

Ports/Shore Excursions

We enjoyed Honduras & Costa Maya

Belize was not great as the port is very poor and the closest beach is 5 miles away and the cheapest taxi charges $25pp and the entrance to the beach is another $15pp

We spoke to a local in Belize and said that the best beaches and part of belize is 2-3hrs away in car

Cozumel was another port that was ok in that the beach we chose to go to was rocky and also it rained so it ruined the vibe we had going.It was so bad that I felt as if the bunk above me was going to fall on top of me while I was sleeping

We didn't sleep at all those 3 days

On the third day, we were finally assisted and moved to a different stateroom

That only happened due to the manager"s from the shore excursion and dinning area that stopped by our table during our dinner and asked how were feeling so far on the cruise

All 3 of the complimentary dining were great

The Garden Cafe Buffet was great for lunch and dinner.
