Let me start by saying this was our first cruise with NCL and it was a cruise for our niece's 21st birthday! That being said I have sailed on Disney and Royal Caribbean and I will compare this cruise with RC because Disney is in a class by itself.

First off the room: room was a balcony stateroom and pretty standard as far as cruises go, plenty of storage for suitcases and such, however, missing a trashcan in the bathroom, only 1 small trash can per stateroom, also, the person cleaning our stateroom never removed cups in there was still juice or water left in them (we had to empty them and then he would remove them) also we had 2 beer cans on our balcony the entire cruise and they were never thrown away (this should have NEVER happened). We went down to customer service and told them that we wanted the auto gratuities taken off and that we would tip ourselves and they said that they can not do that once the cruise starts so we would have to do it online after the cruise (Which I did!) Customer service at NCL is not very good at all in handling any matters that occurred on our cruise, this is where I would give them 1 Star!

Food- Food was okay at the buffets, we had specialty dining at the steakhouse, Japanese, Ocean Blue and the Italian place- the Japanese place was the best by far, Ocean blue was good but there is an additional $15 surcharge to eat there and I don't think it was worth the extra money, the Italian place was the worst and would not recommend that to anyone, the steakhouse was pretty good but they didn't bring all the food at one time, sides came about 5 minutes later. O'Sheens for breakfast was good, but for breakfast you really only have 2 choices O'sheens or the buffet because Taste an Savor are only open until 9-9:30 and they are only open for about an 1 1/2 each morning which to me is crazy so they pretty much want everyone to eat at the buffet.
