During the first week in August, I cruised with family and friends on the Carnival Magic out of Port Canaveral. The cruise was 7 days. I had never had so much fun on a cruise!
The cruise took us to Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk with a day at sea each way. We enjoyed all ports. There were quick rain showers while visiting San Juan and during our tour of St. John. Other than this, the weather was excellent. The beaches on St. John and Grand Turk were incredible! We could have stayed longer on Grand Turk!!
The Cruise Director, Reverend Dr. E, was the best! He kept us entertained - laughing, dancing, clapping and singing. The show, Carnival Legends, on the last evening on board was spectacular! Who would have guessed there was so much talent on the ship? Even Rev. Dr. E was part of the show! The other entertainment on board was, for the most part, good.
Cabin Review
Balcony
The cabin was nice but there could have been more room between the beds and the dresser/vanity. I think if the beds were set up as a king bed there would have been more space. The bathroom was adequate and so was the balcony. The Cabin Steward was fantastic.
Port Reviews
Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)
Loved the tour we took to Puerto Plata. Lots to do at the port itself.
Grand Turk
We hired a taxi and took a tour of the island on our own. Not much to see but the beaches are excellent! Loved the island. Could have stayed longer.
