Sail Date: Sep 2016

Just finished a week long Alaskan cruise from Seattle onboard the Westerdam. The ship and service were outstanding. Something we have come to expect from sailing with Holland America. All aspects of the cruise were great. Even the damp weather in a few of the ports didn't put a damper (no pun intended) on our experience.

Everything went smoothly from the embarkation to our final disembarkation. We were in a Neptune Suite (7061). The stateroom was in great shape as was the overall appearance of the ship. The Neptune Concierges, Kim and Sandy, were always there with a smile and offering assistance with anything that we needed. Meals were excellent throughout the cruise. We had breakfast everyday in the Pinnacle Grill, lunch and dinner in the Main dining room (8 PM fixed seating for two) and one dinner in the Pinnacle Grill. Wait staff was excellent in all locations. We did not eat in the Lido this cruise.

We attended a few shows and visited the BB King Lounge a few nights. The show and music were very good and we enjoyed ourselves. Especially enjoyed the show put on by the crew members from the Philippines. We saw Cruise Director Sarah through the ship and she always took time to see how we were enjoying ourselves and chat for a minute or two.
