Celebrity Cruises 11 Night Celebrity Cruises 11 Night Greece & Italy Cruise sailing on 07/18/2016.,

Below is a summary of our recent voyage with some specifics to follow. We hope you find it helpful.

Summary: We booked two adjacent cabins for this 11 night cruise and stayed an additional 3 nights in Rome for two adults and two children. The Celebrity Refection is a miracle at sea, but one of many and not exceptional in this experience. The service was spotty and the vessel visibly worn in areas. The formal and informal dining was average to below average and overall disappointing in our opinion. Access to coffee and tea was very good and appreciated. The itinerary and ports visited were excellent in most cases. One full day tour guide was unintelligible and we would have been better off on our own. Embarkation & disembarking was fast and efficient at each of the ports. Excellent access to hand disinfectant and most of the crew were dedicated and worked hard.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah 1C

Cabin 1C

They have adequate space and we loved that they connected with a door and veranda. The cabin was a bit dirty (a hair comb left under the desk, an off brand shampoo left in the shower, the cabin safe was locked when we arrived and had to be unlocked by a supervisor for us to use, dirt/dust in corners….). We did not like the material of the couch (red fabric that appeared cheap and worn). My wife and daughter detested the quality of the Celebrity provided shampoo and conditioner mandating an emergency purchase at our first port-of-call. We could not hear any of the announcements in the cabin or while on the veranda. The only options were to miss the message or transition to the hallway to try and hear whatever remained of the message. When I asked the cabin attendant for guidance, I received an unintelligible answer with no follow-up. The flat screen TV could be rotated away from the wall for better viewing and worked well. The veranda furniture was nice, comfortable and sturdy. We awoke one night with the partition between our and the neighbors veranda banging loudly. It had come loose somehow and was repositioned and anchored in about 2 hours. During the safety briefing, several in our staging area were so loud I could not hear the presentation.

Port Reviews

Athens (Piraeus)

No tour is needed. Use the bus tours instead. We dined at cafes. Athens was fun.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We toured Rome on our own and found we were able to do so.
