Just got home after spending 3 nights onboard the Disney Dream. Our group of 13 had an infant, children, teenagers, parents, grandparents and married couple without children. Our first Disney cruise was mostly positive. The value for money is good and the variety of activities was excellent for our mixed group.
The ship is well laid out, and comfortable once you are at any area. Our staterooms were excellent, well appointed and were cleaned twice each day. We had 2 connected rooms, accessible room and a double room, all family rooms with balconies on the 8th deck.
The entertainment was excellent although more children centric, but if that is not your thing, this is not cruise line for you, so bring your child, inner child or stay out. The seating in the theater has some restricted views in some seats, something that we had to live with from the accessible seats on the 3rd deck level, but after experimentation we found the fourth level to have a better view. We had to be at the theater 30 minutes early as only couple of seats are accessible.
Everything you need, well done and nicely kept.
Excellent check in experience, very organized and helpful staff.
We wanted to make sure that our Parents are accommodated with mobility limitations, so we booked a private tour. We got to see the island on our own base.
we were able to secure a wealchair from the ship for my father in law who normally use a walker. When we got off the ship we realized that the walk to train would be to long for my mother in law we finally got one of the carts and as my mother in law was getting in, I guess the driver wanted to turn around. She was pretty shaken as she had knee replacement on both legs and with one feet on the ground and the other in the moving cart we all shouted to alert the driver. When returning we had to take the train and fighting the rude fellow guests caused us lots of trouble with very little assistance from staff.
