Cabin: Extended Balcony

We had a family of four adults in a balcony (8J) cabin. My husband and i have been on many Carnival cruises but the food was so bad in the lido this trip that we are saying no more Carnival unless it has Guys and Blue Iguana to make lunch enjoyable.

Service was fantastic everywhere and we definitely thought FTTF was worth the cost. It make embarkation a breeze as well as tendering at Cabo San Lucas.

We only made it to one production show and thought it was enjoyable although I miss having a live band. The comedians were good in the Punchliner club.

Cabin Review

Extended Balcony

Cabin 8J

We loved the balcony with this cabin as it's three times the length of the average cabin. We had plenty of storage for four people and the beds were comfortable. Our only problem with the cabin was getting the hot water to work. We had to call four times for them to work on the issue.

Port Reviews

Cabo San Lucas

This actually became the last stop due to schedule adjustment caused by Hurricane Newton. We arranged for a glass bottom boat tour with drop off at the beach upon arrival at the Cabo Marina. We paid $15 per person and had a pretty good tour with the exception of only staying a minute at the place to see the fish.

Not all the beach bars were open and the beach didn't have as much beachfront as our last visit a few years ago. We stopped at the Omega Bar and for the price of food and drinks had two loungers, umbrella and beach chair service. The beach vendors were pretty annoying here (and it takes a lot to annoy me in this respect).

Puerto Vallarta

We took a taxi for $4 pp to the Marriott Casa Magna resort. We paid 450 pesos per person for a day pass which included 350 peso credit (per person) towards food and drink. We had 10 cocktails, 4 sodas, 4 plates of food and still ended up only paying $28 after our day pass credits.

The day pass also includes loungers, umbrellas on the beach or by the pool and towels. I definitely would go here again.
