We have taken this cruise before from Amsterdam to Basel and really liked the itinerary. Our first cruise was a seven day cruise and this one was 10 days.
The Viking staff is amazing! We really enjoy the servers. The food is always excellent.
Our cabin was neat and clean. My only problem with the new longships is the window is so high I could not see out without standing on the bed. In the older ships you can sit or even lie down on the in your cabin and still see out of the window

I really liked the fact that we had a double bed. The window was too high. I had to stand on the bed to see out. On the older ships you were at water level but the window was lower. The longships are beautiful but the lower cabins are a bit claustrophobic.
