Carnival cruise as expected.. chose this as price and time worked for our timeline. this ship needs some much needed updates.. broken light covers, non-matched touched up paint at many points.. (the decorative pillars on either side of guest services booth, railings on outside decks.) outside windows need cleaning. we couldn't see out of out cabin window.. dirt was on the outside. upon our debarkation there were teams cleaning windows at the port. this ship is one of the grand ladies and should be cared for... I can see her glory and launched days..she would be grand again with some much needed updates...

our cabin only had one working electric socket.. next to the desk... I was glad that I had brought an electrical socket surge protector.. gave me three more plugs.. cabin steward Fabulous .on top of it, every time we left that cabin. Plenty to do and see with 2 days at sea.. food selection in the dining room good variety and options. Service in the dinning rooms top notch.. Loved our waiter and team Olekisi, and Dewar. Bar services worked hard to fill the drinks quickly with the single people at the different locations.. Lobby bar team member Jobsen all over the high transient folks demand.. many people just getting a drink while moving through.

Cabin 6E

cabin could use some serious cleanup and update.. some one opened an exploded a soda and its got dots of dried soda in the ceiling crevices..and one of the main cabin transoms. drawers were loose and the mirror didn't hold shut which on the two rough days at sea a little more creaky.. electric in the bathroom missing a "socket" and the other didn't work.. the cabin electric only had one socket. room has all kinds of touch ups. paint, and much needed updating.. suited for our sleeping needs. the window was so dirty on the outside it was difficult at times to look through definitely could not take a photo through it.

Port Reviews

Jacksonville

didn't do any excursions

Nassau

took a walk along east end street all the way to fort Caroline.. cool fort for 1.00 admission per person. went to the Nassau botanical garden it was closed while they were doing some repairs.. the workers there still let us wander as long as we didn't go into the yellow taped off areas. took public transport to cable beach.. 1.25 per person. public park and beach areas were very dirty - there were actually bags of trash all along those areas. we walked the beach till an opening at a hotel bar.. and cut through to main thoroughfare to get another bus to straw market.. at a 1.25 per person public transport's were awesome.. one was so informative of the history and area we felt like it was an excursion.. we tipped him well because we learned more from that bus trip..
