Anthem of the Seas is a wonderful ship with plenty of activities to meet all needs. The cabins are spacious and clean. Dining was a little trouble, as we had to make reservations months before boarding ship. Food left a lot to be desired. Although plentiful, it was tasteless. Anyone who sais you gain weight on this cruise is mistaken. Food is not 24/7 as restaurants close at 8-9:00. Entertainment was best part and all shows-The Gift, We Will Rock You, and Spectras Cabarae were fabulous! Service was good, but, not exceptional. Go to Casino first night, after that, winning appears to drop to nothing, hmmm. Bermuda port not so fabulous. Do not take Discover Card as they won't accept. Drink packages are not worth it. Pay 13.00 an alcoholic drink- you would have to drink 30 or more for the cruise to get your money's worth. Outdoor pool crowded and only 20x20, but you have 2 more pools to lounge by.
Cabin was clean and surprisingly spacious. Rooms on floors 6-13. Anything below 8 view obstructed by lifeboats. No noise.
Bermuda not fabulous. Horseshoe bay nice. Wear swimsuit as bathrooms are yucky! $40 to rent umbrella and 2 chairs. Take taxi bus (air conditioned) for $7 pp/one way. Public bus transportation crowded. Could not get on when it stopped- waited 1/2 hour and could not get on. Beware of small independent taxis as not air conditioned and rickety for same price. Watch price at souvenir registers as charge higher price than advertised. Take ferry from wharf to Hamilton-15 minutes $10 pp/round.
Parking for 5 days $100. Boarding quick and easy. Have luggage tagged good ahead of time - helpful to have large label with room number on it as they tend to place your bags in front of other rooms - could be 10 doors down. Definitely don't want to carry on though as you are walking around before able to get in your room for 2 hours. Getting off, take all bags with you (carry off) as finding your bags in a warehouse of luggage is bad! Get to your assigned offloading area atleast 15 minutes early. Have all Customs paperwork completely filled out - passports and sea pass cards in hand.
