First, a little about us and why this cruise was great for us- my husband and I are mid-50's, married 26 years and recently retired. While we are not "unsocial" we prefer to spend our traveling time with each other, exploring new places and just relaxing. We do enjoy cocktails and dancing, but have passed the "party animal" phase. We are the "eat-to-live" and not "live-to-eat" variety. We are not big shoppers or pool people. We were very nervous about this cruise as we started seeing the bad reviews after we had booked. We made up our minds to not have high expectations and make the best of it. All that being said, this is our review:

1- Embarkation was great. 15 minutes from curb to stateroom. Every employee we encountered was very friendly and efficient.

2- Stateroom 3463- inside cabin of course was small but adequate. Had 2 beds put together. It is a corner room but only heard occasional voices in the hall when people passed. No noise from any neighbors. While true there is not much storage, we anticipated this and packed very sparingly. Room was very clean and well maintained. Bed was very comfy. A/C worked great. Even had to turn it up as it got too cold in the room at times. (dang hot flashes) Yes, the shower is very tiny....... and no, we are not tiny people. But come on, it's a shower, people! You get in, soap up the walls, turn around in circles, rinse and you're done! It's not like you are going to be entertaining a crowd of folks in there (well, maybe some of you will and in the case I suggest another ship) Our stateroom attendant, Carlos, was very good. Kept our room clean and made the cutest towel animals. This room is also very convenient to elevators and stairs without being too close to hear the noise. Up 2 flights and you are at dining room for My Time Dining.

Port Reviews

Nassau

Had this port subbed for Key West due to weather. Been here before so not much to do. Walked through downtown, climbed the Queen's Staircase and taxied over to Atlantis for some a/c and cool drinks.
