We were vacationing with family and friends. Happy with excursions.

Highly recommend the Marineland Tours Stingray City excursion in Grand Cayman. That boat is well worth the somewhat extra price. Don't skimp, go for it. We also utilized the Maya, Lost Mayan Kingdom Waterpark excursion in Costa Maya. We were satisfied with this as well. Unfortunately it was a very hot day and the bugs were pretty bad. (Bring SPF and bug spray.) The zip line part of the park is hot, but well worth it. The food is expensive- but know that when you order the jumbo hot dog it is actually two hot dogs. We made this error and bought too much food.

We enjoyed our vacation on Freedom of the Seas, however, it seemed like we waited for everything: food, service, etc. You have to ask for Lobster on Formal night as it is never advertised as on the menu. Lunch in the Windjammer seems to now consist of hamburgers, hot dogs, & french fries.. A staff member said they were trying to keep the Americans happy. A nice addition is the self service beverage/soda machines. Many different flavors to choose from and easier to obtain refills. It's not just limited to sodas...as PowerAde and flavored Dasani are available. Ordered a few virgin Pina Coladas from the bar and the bartender seemed annoyed. Oh well... no biggie.

Cabin P1

This is the best room we have ever had on Royal Caribbean. We were a party of 4 (2 adults/2 teenagers.) The couch broke down into a bed. The closet is an odd shape, but helps with space. Luggage is easily stored either under the bed or in the closet. Room is newer so if you accidentally cut off the lights, you need to slide the DND & Clean my Room cards into the card slot to get them back on.

TV swivels so that it is viewable by either side. However, previous guest before us evidently kept twisting it round and round. Maintenance had to rewire while we were there. Took a few days to get this tweaked so we could access our account from the room. Afterwards it was fine. Pick a direction for back and forth so this won't happen.

I cannot express enough how AWESOME the view was from this room. Imagine ceiling to floor windows with breathtaking views. We waved to the captain's bridge every morning. (Just remember to close the curtain a wee bit at times so there is no peep show.)

For our first three Ports we were able to just sit in our room and watch the activity of the ports from the comfort of our bed. For our final Port, we were docked and could view the ocean and marine activity.

This room was the crown jewel of our cruise. Other aspects of our cruise were not so enjoyable, yet this clearly kept our spirits up.

I highly recommend this room if and when available.
