This was a very different experience then the other cruises I have been on. I will give the good and bad. It will be long so bear with me and excuse any typo's. I will not only review the ship but all our private tours we took.

On August 26 we took an overnight flight on Alitalia from NYC to Rome. We arrived at 9:00am, retrieved our luggage quickly. I had a transfer prearranged through You Tours in Italy who I used before for excursions. I loved them then and I still do. Aldo is very helpful. We met Salvatore and he drove us to our Hotel in Civitavecchia, Hotel de la Ville. Hotel was ok for 1 night but wouldn't want to stay longer. Check out my review on a Trip Advisor. Civitavecchia is a very nice port and my husband and I enjoyed walking around it.

Cruise time! We took a cab that was arranged by the hotel that brought us right up to the ship. We arrived at 10:30, checked in at 10:45 and onboard at 10:50. Quickest embarkation ever!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Cabin: balcony, 9092 first one past the elevator. Our room was nice size, seemed a little larger than other balcony rooms. Balcony was huge!! Shower had doors no curtain, a huge plus! A lot of storage space throughout. Only downside was on the nights before early port days we tend to go to sleep early and even with the hallway doors closed we can hear the activities in the Centrum.
