Perhaps if you have never cruised before and had nothing to compare with, you may have given the Pacific Aria 2 stars. I wish I could load the pictures. It started out bad with the safety session. Usually you are sitting comfortable in the theatre etc but on this ship they must of thought there was a good change it might sink, as we were all squashed together like sardines on the deck in the sun where it was impossible to hear the message due to the trucks still loading and no room to put on your life jacket even when told too. The room was disgusting. From the rusty taps, to the remain of previous passengers hair stuck into the sealant around the bath. The water stained lamp shades looked like it had been underwater. But that wasn't the worst of it. I have had better food in hospital. For the whole 18 days, the main staple on the ship was pork pork and more pork. If you can think of the million ways to cook pork well it was on the ship. The bread roll tasted like they came out of a plastic bag from Woollies. All the cakes for the whole time were dry, dry dry. and tasteless. I can't believe they have gone so cheap. Very cheap cuts of meat like pork neck and beef cheek. The main fish was bassa. The pastries were like they were cooked the day before. Entertainment was poor. Only one show a week with the pacific entertainers. No colourful clothes change. There was a really bad vomit smell through the ship on the last 2 days. And the roof in the pantry restaurant sprung a leak but apparently was the air con. Which by the way didn't seem to work in the early hours of each morning.
