This cruise is perfect for couples and those of us that aren't the greatest at socialising. With dining a true pleasure and able to have a table for 2 and most times by a window without the uncomfortable chit-chat of the round table. The layout on the ship very easy to navigate and the spa area a high light. There are plenty of areas to explore with little surprises everywhere. We only did the included excursions and apart from the ones on the bus we wondered of early as I find the information by the guide tended to ramble and have you standing in one spot for extended periods. The following like sheep behind a red stick doesn't show you the out of the way spots. The included tour are a great starting point for general info but if you have an opportunity checking things on your own by foot or taxi is more enjoyable, we did take a couple of taxis for a more relaxed adventure. All our embarking and disembarking ran very smoothly but we were in one of the first groups as later groups were cramped for time to do what they wanted on the included tours. Staff on the whole were very good with an occasional exception. The smaller ship is a definite plus and do highly recommend these ocean cruise by Viking with all the little extras included in the price. Our embarkation port was changed from Istanbul to Athens and the assistance and reimbursement for out of pocket expenses by Viking was a appreciated.
