Most of the reviews we read said this was a luxury cruise liner, we found that the central atrium went from bottom to top and that on deck 3 they would have a band and singer, this noise travelled up every level and into every public space which came off this central atrium, this included The Library, were you would want it yo be quiet, the games room also wanting it yo be quite, little alcoves, but no most times you had music blaring. The furnishings were dated, there were not a lot of activities being offered except for the obligatory dance lesson ,bingo, and trivia. We were in Aqua class which offered free spa, meaning sauna and heated bed, free coffee via room service , but only if you ordered before 11 pm at night otherwise here was a surcharge. A snack each afternoon delivered yo your room which consisted of 4 strips of dried lavash bread, approx a teaspoon of some tasteless dip, and half a dozen olives, or 2 slices of stale bread smeared with a small amount of pesto, a dozen peanuts. Aqua Class does have a restaurant exclusively for your use card Blu, this was very good. But certainly the price you pay for Aqua class is not worth the money.

The ship was not user friendly, there were only 2 sets of lifts one bank in the central atrium and one bank forward. Shore excursions were overpriced. The towns of Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway, were full of jewellry stores and tourist souvenir stores, restaurants ( which were hard to impossible to get into, especially if there was more than one ship in port). Our advice unless you are willing to spend hundreds of dollars to take a flight or helicopter ride, walk into these towns they are all within walking distance, have a look around and get back on the ship. As you see in the brochures snow lined shores We did not see any snow, except on the very tops of the highest mountain peaks, a few small(smaller than a car) floating icebergs.

We will never sail on a celebrity cruise again. The ship didn't seem to have a soul. All in all was very dissapointed with my Alaskan cruise.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 1

The cabin was ok, but the pillows were so large particularly for a smaller person or woman, I asked if they had any pillows for children for which I got a resounding No! The layout was not the best as the bed was beside the balcony door and the lounge was near the bathroom, not very good if you want to sit and relax and watch the scenery. The curtains met in the middle of the doors so you could not pull your curtain back a small distance and have the balcony door open without it blowing your curtains everywhere.
