My second time to Alaska, the first being on RCCL Radiance of the Seas in 2001. First time on Celebrity. Very few kids (schools back in most places)-ship was sold out. Since kiddo grown, decided to give X a try. Service was good for most part. Stateroom attendant and dining room staff outstanding. Guest relations - not so much. Entertainment was good, food was not as good as I expected. Unimaginative menus, buffets same each day - nothing really stood out. Buffet dining times often didn't coincide with port times so more often then not only pizza/pasta available. I expected much more. Bar service generally good with ample pours.

Way too much pushing of drink packages the first day and the photographers were in you face every. single. day. Photo prices ridiculous. Internet slow-cost me $20 to check in for flight! And really, get rid of the stupid "art auction" - does anybody really buy that crap?

Victoria a useless stop since only from 6-11pm. Not too much to see in the dark. Other ports the standard inside passage stops.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1A

Cabin 1A

Spacious, well laid out. Balcony was enormous. Biggest complaint was lack of electrical outlets-none in bathroom! Showing a bit of wear but I understand it's going into dry dock soon.
