My Mother wanted to visit Alaska and we have cruised with Norwegian in the past and enjoyed it. We normally stay in a balcony but due to the higher cost of Alaska we got a inside room. The inside room was fantastic, I was worried but this room was roomy and had a lot of great storage with a large bathroom. The ship was a bit small and I think we are officially ready to go larger just to have more entertainment and great things to do. The Food was ok but of course the specialty restaurants are the way to go. Drinks are very expensive so it might be worth to get a drink package if you are a big drinker. The entertainment was ok but nothing that wowed me. With this being said It is time for my family to move to a bigger and better ship. Alaska was amazing, so pretty and full of fun activities at the ports. Remember this is a cold cruise so dress appropriately and remember the pools, sunbathing, Music out doors isn't much of an option on this cruise.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

Cabin IB

Inside cabin was perfect and I am so glad we tried it out. MIght be a great way to save money and the smaller room was very functional. The lack of balcony got us out of our rooms and up top to view the nature and watch plenty of whales swim past the shift.

Port Reviews

Seattle

We stayed out by the airport but learned quickly how to use public transportation, LYNC got us down town and then we ubered around town. We checked out Space Needed and the blown GLASS gardens. Had dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory and Anthony's Seafood. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Stayed at the Doubletree by Seattle Airport.

Ketchikan

Nice tourist town, lots of shops and fun great things to buy. Smoked Salmon, Shirts, mugs, anything you can imagine. Rained all day and we are glad we just shopped around. Seemed like the rain would damper a excursion for sure. Definitely a great place to shop for souvenirs.

Skagway

Town is a bit boring, not great shops. Seemed more jewelry and antiques. If you are into that than you will love it. They had a great shuttle to drive you around. 5$ and you can ride on and off all day. We also rented scooters in Skagway which was great and we went to the waterfall. Highly recommend the scooters.
