We chose this cruise because we had previously sailed on Thomson celebration which is one of the smaller ships and both times had a wonderful holiday, food, staff, cabin crew, entertainment were all excellent so this year we decided to try thomsons newest liner. We had booked a cabin on deck three but on arrival were put on deck two, it would not have bothered my husband or myself but we had specifically booked that floor and paid extra because my disabled mother had travelled with us and all single cabins on deck three, unfortunately I had forgot some paperwork, when I went to reception I was told basically tough luck if you don't have paperwork then it's not our fault. i have since taken this up with Thomson shop whom we booked with on arriving home.

Very good variation on restaurants, food to a high quality, staff all very pleasant and helpful.

Entertainment very poor and more of a standard of two star hotel. Entertainment during the day consisted of usual quiz that all thomsons cruise have and varied music apart from that there's nothing. At night again quizzes are the same old that you get on other ships and having spoke to other guests who had traveled on The Magesty and the Dream we were informed that they were the same game shows that were shown on them. The entertainment team were very amauterish, and throughout quizzes we were constantly reminded that they didn't no the answers to questions as they were young and not born before 1990. Read more
