My husband and I took this short cruise out of Orlando on August 26, 2016 for our anniversary. We dropped the kids off at grandmas and were very excited for our short getaway to the Bahamas. We have cruised with Royal before and besides Disney this line is our favorite. We got to port around 1:00pm and we were on the boat by 1:30pm. Check-in was a breeze and so coordinated that there was very little wait if any! We walked right on the boat with such excitement and our room, small and very clean was ready. It was perfect for two people. Our room attendant knocked on our door and introduced himself and was always visible. Our room was 8542 was an obstructed view but it really didnt bother us at all and we enjoyed seeing the ocean and having the sunlight.

I had spoke to a Royal Carib customer rep twice asking for a table of two and it was confirmed (it was our anniversary) but when we got to the our 6pm dinner we were sat with a group. I spoke to the waiter before sitting down and they fixed the problem and sat us down with a table for two and our waiters Ranil and Mohammed were the best! The food on the Majesty of the Seas was Amazing!!!!!!!!!! Our 6pm dinners were always delicious but small and after walking around the boat after a hour of our dinner we would hit the Windjammer buffet and the food was just amazing.

We went to the Atlantis in Bahamas and it was really nice, its not coordinated really well after getting off the boat, but we really had a great day although it was supposed to rain. Coco Key was a fantastic Island. You can keep walking to peace and quiet or take a tram. I found the BBQ on the island to be horrible. Not even worth eating. Just horrible. Me and my husband hopped right back on the boat around 2pm to eat at the Windjammer and we were far from alone. Someone on the elevator said to us "it not worth eating that BBQ food and getting sick!" and she was correct. Besides the bad BBQ we had a great time.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Easy port. We park and park and cruise with all of our cruises. Very simple port to come in and out of.
