We had reservations about sailing on celebrity as our first cruise did not go well. Arrived and embarkation was smooth and efficient. Off to a good start but down hill from there. First night we arrive after dinner started and went to buffet. Food was poor quality. Wide selection but not good taste. The fresh grilled salmon was decent. Breakfast was not much better only fresh fruit was good. We tried a few times more but never improved. Main dining room was very hit or miss. Braised ribs were excellent but steaks were very low quality. Pastas were hit or miss with tagliatelle with fungi above average but spaghetti with shrimp and gnocchi not so good. Tried the sushi with n 5 specialty restaurant. Photos attached. Sushi was paper thin like you would find in a cheap all you can eat buffet.
Excursions had guides that were uninspired and offered little reason to take the tour.
Service was slow and inattentive throughout. Bartenders had little knowledge of bartending. You had to tell them how to make a drink. I ordered a Manhattan it came served on the rocks. I told them I never had one on the rocks and preferred it neat. So mixes bourbon, simple syrup, cherry juice and sweet vermouth with a dash of bitters.
An average room but balcony was extra large so lots of room to relax. Shower and bathroom were adequate. Overall typical veranda room with larger than normal veranda
