We chose this cruise for its destinations and Venice being the start and finish points, all of which were brilliant. We made our own way to the ship from the airport by local bus, 8 euros each, and used the people mover to get to the dock 1.50 euros each. It was a bit of a walk then to the check in area and in the heat, but a taxi will cost you 20 euros to go about a mile.
Check in was relatively straightforward and is staggered to avoid a rush. Once onboard we felt that RC were trying to sell things to us instead of being able to relax a little.
Our cabin was ready but my husband's luggage didn't come up with mine and we had to go to security to be told they wouldn't allow us to have our travel iron in our room! Grrr! We were told that they're a fire risk, but then so are hair straighteners!
This cabin was very comfortable especially the bed. Alexander, our room attendant was great and we had clean towels twice a day!
Plug sockets in a good place. There's also a kettle and coffee maker in the cabin.
I had read about others complaining of noise but can honestly say we didn't hear a thing until around 7 am and people were up and about. Remember this is under the pool deck.
The curtain was hanging in the corner though and this should be corrected.
We also had 2 bottles of water from the mini bar $30! Come on RC a bit steep don't you think?
Do your own!
Did our own a lot cheaper
