Worst experience ever! This is the first cruise I've taken with my boyfriend, and the last cruise we'll ever take with Carnival. My boyfriend has several health issues, including cancer, seizures, diabetes, right side weakness, the list goes on.

Us, not knowing what to expect, was approached by a porter as soon as our hotel driver dropped us off. He said to give everything to him, he would take care of it, and it everything would be delivered around 5:30 to our room. Okay, we handed everything over to him and went on our journey to find a wheelchair. While waiting for a wheelchair, our porter finds us, to say our boarding passes were messed up, we were at the wrong terminal. He shows us the right terminal we should be at, so we slowly start to make our way over about the distance of an entire freaking block.

We get on the ship, make our way to our room and find his scooter we had rented. Outstanding service by Special Needs at Sea by the way. We find a burger at Guys Burgers (the only descent place to eat at) and my guy decides he needs a shot of insulin. OMG, the insulin. The luggage is starting to be handed out, so I find the guys on my floor and say I am looking for a little gray lunch box, I need medicine in that box, for a shot. They are very accommodating and help me look. No lunch box is ever found :(

Balcony

Cabin 8A

We had a handicapped room, with a balcony. There was a nice walk in shower, that was full of mold (I have pictures). The shower chair feet, walls, floor, pull cord for emergency help, all covered in mold. The carpet was stained, the bedspread was stained. Our housekeeper was totally awesome. He called us by name from day one, he always kept our room nice and tidy. He was not to blame for the condition of our room. I blame the fact that there is never any down time for the ship to really get a good cleaning.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

We didn't ask about an excursion, thinking there would be none, since we had to have the mobility scooter. After the fact, we learned that we could have swam with dolphins or done one other excursion that is scooter friendly. :(

Galveston

Unless you call boarding the ship and excursion, we didn't take one.
