This cruise had many ports that I have wanted to visit and the price was right. The ship is old and in need of an update (which I hear will be in dry dock in the future). Since it is one of the smaller ships it is easy to navigate. Was not crazy about the layout of the Blue Lagoon and Shanghi Bar as its the main pass thru to either side of the ship - it always seemed like we were interrupting someone's space! Otherwise I loved the crew and the Cruise Director Gio and his staff. They made you feel like part of the NCL family during the trip. Each one was approachable and engaging and a pure delight to get to know! The food was great even though most of the time it was a little warmer than room temp by the time it was served. I found all of it too salty for my taste. Naturally Cagney's was terrific! I enjoyed Shogun! I did grab a snack at the Blue Lagoon coming back from a tour in Venice. Ah...Venice....what a beautiful city. But the port is not very accessible friendly...lots of walking just to get to the tour buses/port entry-exit! I was surprised at how much I loved Kotor and Dubrovnik - both incredibly rich in history and such stunning vistas. Took the EcoTukTuk tour in Dubrovnik with John and was very pleased with his personal touch and knowledge of Croatia's rich history. I booked tours Pisa, Rome & Naples with Italytours.eu and with Viatour for a Jewish Ghetto/Cannarigio food tour - a must as far as I am concerned...terrific tour with Alesandra. Also did a pub crawl booked by some cruise critic folks in Venice with Alessandro which was also a must!!! Incredible trip, incredible tours, I'd do it again!!!!

Plenty of room for two single ladies traveling together! I had an eggcrate foam topper added to my bed as it was a little too hard for me and it worked out perfectly!

Port Reviews

Kotor

This was a tour booked by a cruise critic traveler that I hooked up with. Basically we rode around the area with a few stops along the way. This country is a jewel in disguise!

Mykonos

Spent 4 days in Mykonos years ago so I did not get off the ship. The windmills are still there!!!

Athens (Piraeus)

I have been to Greece so I did not get off the ship as I have already seen all the sights.

Toulon

No tour but beautiful coast. Got an airshow by French Navy flying formation and smoke planes as we sailed out of port!
