We are a couple in our very late 30s and have never cruised before, so had no to low expectations. Our cruise stopped at Santo Esperitu, Champaign beach, Port Vila, Mystery Island, Isle of Pines.

Here are some tips:

- We did not book shore tours from the ship, instead contacted the local providers directly after some research on Tripadvisor. We found them better value and longer in duration. You may be even more adventurous and choose a trip with the locals right there once you get off the ship. There were always plenty of offers. Negotiate the price first and try not to pay upfront. You are also a lot safer is a small group with a few others in a van rather than a taxi. AUD were accepted everywhere. At some locations locals charge a small fee ($4-5) to access a beach or a lagoon.
