My husband and I just returned from 10 day Southern Caribbean Cruise on the Emerald Princess.  This is our 4th Princess cruise and still just as inlove with Princess as the 1st.  We were celebrating our 40 anniversary so it was extra special for us.Embarkation from Fort Lauderdale was very smooth. Just show up with e-tickets, wait in a short line and get to our cabin. As in the past, we had a balcony cabin which makes the rooms feel larger, as you can go out on balcony and just relax and listen the ocean.  We had two days at sea before our first port, Aruba.  We enjoyed relaxing in the sanctuary.  Loved The Sanctuary.  Yes, have to pay extra but we went ahead and paid for the entire cruise. It was wonderful! Enough sun to no get burned.  The service was excellent.  The moment you arrived, you could relax in your guaranteed lounge, and immediately was give a cold glass of ice water.  You could also order food for a small service charge.  Again service was excellent.  Also enjoyed a nice massage and my husband used the fitness center.  Since we are both blackjack players, of course we enjoyed the casino and participated in a couple of tournaments.  The dealers in the casino was great.  Got to know them very well and they were very personable.  The wait service in the casino was wonderful and so friendly. After arriving in Aruba, we got a local excursion which was very good.  Did a little shopping then back on ship. Aruba was beautiful but was very commercial. Then next port was Bonaire.  We had a ship scheduled snorkeling excursion, the Muishi Mushi excursions.  It was great! The crew of the catamaran was very good and gave great instrux.  Snorkeling was incredible.  Took lots of pictures.  Back to ship.Next was Grenada and this was a very wonderful surprise.  Love the island and the people.  Took local excursion and visited Spice Farm and rum distillery and also general tour of island.  Found the history of the banana industry very interesting.  Bananas were everywhere.  They seems to love Americans and so very accommodating.  Not commercial island, just a beautiful natural island. Look forward to returning. The next port was THE BEST!!! Dominica!! Oh what a beautiful natural island.  After some research on internet booked a tour with Reyno Tours and this made the visit perfect.  Reynolds, (the owner) and Ruth Ann his assistant was GREAT!! The love of their home island came thru everything they talked about.  Ruth Ann explained in detail so much about the island the rainforest.  Visited three waterfalls (some hiking thru rainforest) sulpher pools, and general tour of island.  This is a must tour when you go to Dominica.  Just google Reyno Tours and read all of the wonderful reviews.Next was St Thomas.  Have been there three other times but never taken excursion, always just shopped.  Found out more to island than shopping.  Again took local excursion and discovered so much about the island and the beauty of the island. After another day at sea, arrived at Princess Cays.  We chose to stay on ship and enjoy the Sanctuary. We had dinner one nite in the Crown grill.  Excellent.  Then anther Dinner at Sabitini's.  Which was excellent.  Dinner at Sabitini's is a full night of pure culinary enjoyment.I do not judge a cruise by the food as we do not go for the food but for just the chance to get away and enjoy being together and relaxing. This was the best of the 4 cruises.  And of course while on board, we put deposit down on our next Princess cruise
