We had a wonderful cruise experience on the Celebrity Equinox. Embarkation in Barcelona was very fast, maybe 10 minutes total from arriving at port to being greeted on the ship with a glass of champagne. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, cabin steward and dining room staff especially attentive. Meals were all very good, we ate breakfast and lunch at the buffet in Oceanview Cafe with a wide variety at each meal. Dinners at the Silhouette and we had the select dining but had the same table and staff most evenings. Cabin was a nice size and good storage space as was the balcony which had two reclining chairs and foot rests. Was a port intensive cruise so did not take advantage of the shows but lobby and pool entertainment was very good and enjoyed the blown glass shows. Nice variety of shops. Guests were nicely dressed in the dining rooms, much more so that on Caribbean cruises. Lots of families on board and saw little of the children but did see them engaged in some organized games and activities. Enjoyed ports, be prepared for very long days for excursions but well worth it. We did some Celebrity excursions and also booked some private depending on our interests. It was very hot and humid and it was nice to arrive back at the ship and be great with cold drinks and chilled facecloths, very nice touch when arriving back. The ship was easy to navigate and though big not overwhelming. We look forward to another cruise on the Equinox and hope to see the wonderful staff that provided service on this cruise.
Room was attractive and comfortable. Great location, quiet, good storage. Nice chairs and footrests on balcony.
Enjoyed Barcelona, great pre-cruise city. Easy access to port from hotel on La Ramba via the port bus.
Took Celebrity bus to town, further than expected, maybe 20 minutes. Took hop-on hop-off bus tour. Was enjoyable, pretty city but did not find anything really special at this port.
