This is our second cruise with NCL.  We were disappointed with the reception at the airport and the handling of the luggage.  The NCL staff was hard to find.  The Lone Female bus driver had to load all of the luggage by herself.  No porters to assist her.  The Female Driver, however was a joy to visit with, once she got her wind back.  We were expecting to be met at the luggage area by someone from NCL, but unfortunately we had to go seek them out, carrying our luggage.  The trip to the ship was nice but next time we will take a taxi from the airport.  This would allow us to get some water and sodas before we get on the vessel.

Our room was comfortable although I found medicine pills, shoes and glasses on the floor under the beds.  Our room staff was always helpful, honest, efficient and friendly.

Our first night we dined in Windows, what a horror.  Never offered a wine list or cocktail.  We were served More water and even that ran out.  The meal was good but service was horrible.  We did not go back!
Other people had the same bad or worse experiences at The Windows.

Our other common dinner meals were at the Garden Room,  "What a Joy!"  Service was great as was the food.  We enjoyed the Asian Fusion Specialty Restaurants on three other nights.  The Staff in the Specialty Restaurants were great, always making sure everything was enjoyable and that we were happy. 

Breakfasts and lunches were in the buffet area where the food was ample and good. The only thing I could not figure out was why they did not have caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee in the same area.  You had to go looking for which one you wanted at the other end of the serving area.

The Kids Crew staff did a good job entertaining our son, God Bless them for that, sorry about your toes guys.

The Photographers did a nice job of capturing the fun we were having, making the picture packet a good value.

DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO GET THE FREE GOLD CHARMS THEY ADVERTISE YOU WILL RECEIVE IF YOU GO TO A CERTAIN LOCATION ON THE SHIP.  THEY ARRIVE LATE MAKING YOU WAIT AND DO NOT PROVIDE WHAT THEY PROMISE.  YOU WILL LEAVE FURIOUS!!  All they will say is it is not their fault.

The medical staff was great no price gouging here!  I developed an inner ear infection which they took care of with no problem. 

Although some things did not go as planned or as we would have liked.  We are still planning on using NCL again.  We feel we get the most for our money. Less

Cabin review: Norwegian Spirit 8016

Class CC was comfortable. We tried to pack light so most of our stuff fit well in the space provided. The bathroom was ok and made a good time out spot for our son. The only bad thing was someone smoking in one of the inside cabins and the odor was in the hall when we came out of our room.

Port and Shore Excursions


What an experience! We used Coral Breeze Tours instead of the ship's. We could not have asked for a better result. A must try if you go there for diving or snorkeling. Our 4 year old son had never snorkeled before. They took the time to look after him and my wife, while I was off on an awesome two tank dive. Only problem was that we could not find the store after to buy our T-Shirts afterwards.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn near Logan Airport because of the free shuttle. The Staff was tremendous. We were given info on the train system and were able to do most of our own exploration. The Duck Tour was wonderful for our son as was the Science Museum and Aquarium. The food at the Union Oyster House and Legal Seafood was excellent

Commercialized. Not very tourist friendly. Go to the town and enjoy your time there, stay out of the port shops, what a joke they are. The Taxi trip to town is reasonable and the service in town is better.


Tourism staff at the port to busy eating breakfast to help. Taxi Drivers unfriendly. If you need to do laundry this is the place. There is a laundromat, six blocks from the port at Roodweg 11. The Staff is Great and Honest!!

We used Caribbean Sea Sports for our diving and snorkeling needs and WOW! They made sure to help with everything.

NCL cancelled our tour but we survived the ferry and bus ride! The Aquarium and Museum were great for an island. The Crystal Caves were marvelous. Thanks to some insiders help we were able to get around, saved us some money.
