This was my first real ocean cruise (have taken some very small cruises and some river cruises). The crew was amazingly organized about getting everyone off and back on the ship, so it never, ever felt like a mob scene. It was a class act all the way, with excellent cuisine, entertainment and excursions. Every cabin had a veranda and the weather was nice enough to get to use it. One day, we had room service lunch on our veranda and often sat there, watching scenery. I really enjoyed the infinity pool on warmer days. Every night there was a port talk about the next destination, which was very informative. The main restaurant, called simply, the Restaurant, had excellent cuisine and we also dined at both specialty restaurants, for a change of pace. I had a massage and there was a hair salon on board, although I did not use it.
They always provided a shuttle, in case you wanted to explore a town on your own, so you never need to worry about getting a taxi.
We signed up for every walking tour and got a lot of exercise!
We had 2 single beds, a closet with sliding doors, a TV, desk/vanity, 2 club chairs and a coffee table, good room-darkening curtains. The AC worked well and the bathroom had a heated floor. Everything was well-designed and comfortable. Just down the hall was a laundry room, where you could wash, dry & iron clothes (no coins or detergent necessary). The only complaint I had, was that the door out to the veranda was difficult to open.
