My mother chose the cruise as a gift to me for my birthday. It was just the two of us on the cruise. The staff was great and that was about the only thing great. Our itinerary kept changing unexpectedly. We never made it to key west, per the weather. However, i'm not sure how much i believe of that. The entertainment was slim pickens, this whole cruise was catered to latino and spanish (that should be announced). Everyone spoke in spanish, the spanish language came first every time before english, including our itineraries. Not much to do on the ship, had a lot of down time and a lot of time to try and occupy which made for a very boring cruise. The ship is out dated and extremely small. Smallest ship in the royal caribbean line apparently. Per crew members this ship was sold and recently repurchased and there trying to improve it. Just overall was not impressed with the ship, the cruise and i was highly highly highly dissapointed in the food both at the dinning room and cafeteria. And the coffee is horrible. Definitely need to improve there coffee. Every person i came across on the ship complained about the coffee. Everyone's day starts off good when they can have a good cup of coffee........ Royal caribbean you really need to work on that.

Cabin Review

Cabin ocean view

The cabin in super super small compared to carnival, we even upgraded to a window room and its ridiculously small. Was not aware the the ship was 28 years old and had been sold and recently bought back. The room is very dated with old fixtures, not well maintained or upgraded in any way. Our toilet was super delayed when trying to flush it. The lights rattled. Our speaker did not work therefore we never heard announcements (and there were some important ones). The bathroom faucet handle broke the first time going to turn on the water, took them over 8 hours to send someone to repair it. The night stand between the two twin beds leg broke off luckily we were able to some what stick it back on. Just over all not a good room, not a good cruise, not a good ship, will not travel on empress of the seas ever again.
