It had been a few years since our last Celebrity cruise. We were worried that Celebrity had lowered it's standards like many of the other major lines. We were pleasantly surprised that when it came to dining, they were still the best. The food in the dining room was SO good, that we never had to visit the specialty restaurants. Every night the menu offered great choices and the waiter's were friendly and knowledgeable. I will say this..."If you're the type of person that orders spaghetti and meatballs or chicken parmigiana when you go to an Italian restaurant, you will not be as happy as we were". You won't see the normal entree's that you are used to. You have to be a little adventurous. Try everything ! You can always ask for something different. Don't judge a meal by it's name....just order it. The beef, the lamb, the veal, the fish...all great !
The entertainment was better than the other cruise lines . The vocalists were better than I had heard on other ships. Being a vocalist, I am a little less tolerant than other passengers when it comes to singing. There was still some pre-recorded harmonies that bothered me, but the live singing was very good.
There were your expected chair hogs every day but that's not Celebrity's fault.
No excursions. We live in New Jersey so we were driven to the port. Port was clean and very organized.
Not as pretty as the rest of Bermuda but a lot of shopping and a convenient beach within walking distance.
