We had not traveled with the Australian Company APT. Thought we would give it a try. Uniworld and Avalon are much better in my view. The distances, by bus, on some tours were a real let down. The enthusiasm of wait staff went from very helpful to " don't want to be here". At times conflicting information was provided by the boats crew. One morning the gangplank was moved a 5am. The noise of the crane was terrible. Room service was good. The bar service was excellent. The dinning room is some what cramped when compared to other boats. If you didn't go on the included tour the meal provided was basic. All in all I think I would prefer to use Uniworld, Avalon or Senic moving forward. What ever you decide I believe it is important to honestly fill out the cruise feedback form. It's the only way things will improve. I prefer to do ours online!.
Cabin Review
25 degrees at night. Air conditioning hopeless inadequate. After a robust discussion the hotel manager agreed the air conditioning was inadequate. The same problems occurred in both the lounge and dinning areas. Interestingly Ama blamed APT and Apt Rep blamed AMA. The usual "your the only one complaining" comment was debunked when the issue surfaced at the port talk. The max daytime outside temperature was about 32 degrees.
