We have taken a lot of Oceania cruises and especially like the larger ships, primarily because of the cabins, the large bathrooms, the magnificent common areas and our favorite restaurant, Red Ginger. The food generally is great. 22 nights and only one meal in the main dining room, veal roast, that wasn't good. Most meals were better than fine restaurants anywhere and Red Ginger's surpass any Asian place, especially the lobster pad Thai, the crispy duck/ watermelon salad, panang beef and the sea bass. They are worth the price of admission And of course there is no price for admission! . ALL the wait staff, maitre d's and help in general couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The cabin however was starting to look shabby and the balcony was dirty feeling. NCL might have cut some corners but in general we still love Oceania. . . We don't take excursions because they are too expensive for what you get.
Oceania has wonderful itineraries and in our experience the ports-not Oceania- offer free shuttle service into town if the dock is any distance from the city center. All in all we love it.
Bed and bedding are fantastic. Slept like a baby. Nice big bathroom with separate tub and shower. Wonderful closet and storage space. Our veranda was extra deep so we requested lounge chairs (long chairs). Loved having them but veranda needed cleaning and painting.
