This was our third trip on this ship to Alaska, three years in a row. You cannot see all you want to see in one cruise. Embarking in Vancouver was simple and quick. We had flown in the day before and stayed at the Pan Pacific. Everyone was friendly and helpful when we needed help. Spent most of our time in the Centrum bar area, they had entertainment and singers, the disco party is a lot of fun even if you just sit and watch. Our stateroom was on deck 7 with balcony. Spent a bit of time watching for whales on the balcony and did see several. Our room girl Grace was very nice and kept room spot cleaned for us thru the entire trip. Biggest disappointment was Rita's Crab Shack. Our past two cruises we had eaten in there several times. This time they had no king crab, only dungeness crabs very small and were awful, we did not go back there to eat again. Always ate meals in the Windjammer. Food seemed to be a lot better this time than our previous trips. We also did the 4 night land tour to Denali and Fairbanks. Denali Tundra Wilderness Tour was amazing, Denali National Park is a must see for everyone. I would not do this particular trip again going to Fairbanks, as Fairbanks did not seem to have much to do for our liking. Tour guide was great, Tall Paul, and yes he was very tall, you didn't have to worry about missing him in a crowd.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Okay for 2 people, had room for suitcases in closet, lots of hangers to keep things unpacked. Kept clean twice a day. Perfect especially since in Alaska you do not spend a lot of time in the room

Port Reviews

Vancouver

Stayed one night before cruise in Vancouver at the Pan Pacific.

Ketchikan

We had a fishing trip planned with an individual, they cancelled on us at 5 am that morning. We spent day walking around town and shopping.
