We chose this cruise because of the dates and itinerary.Having sailed on other Thomson ships we knew what to expect. Being the oldest ship it wasnt luxurious but what character.Never been on a friendlier cruise, the staff were excellent in all departments.
Food was very good ,I cant see how people complain, whatever you fancy at all times. We chose to eat in the compass rose restaurant forbreakfast and dinner. Its more leisurely and nice not to rush each morning like home dashing to work. Yes dinner does take a while ,but chatting to other guests, meeting great people the time flies.
Enjoyed all the shows we saw and the singers around the ship, something for everyone. We usually book early so get the drinks package included which we find very good ,no need to worry should i have another one, coffee and soft drinks.Yes some carry a supplement but unless you particularly want a specific drink then its good value and plenty of choice if free or reduced price, not sure at full price though.Cabins are compact but plenty of space kept immaculate by the stewards. What more do you need, bathroom cleaned twice daily, bed turned down and chocolates on your pillow. There is always plenty of information and maps of the next days port of call which are good to plan your day independently. Thomson may have smaller ships ,not so grand as the larger ones but we thoroughly enjoy our cruises and find them excellent value for money.
Everything you need, plenty of space, bathrooms older but very clean
