This is my 5th cruise on Royal Caribbean. I was very nervous given all the negative reviews that I read on here, but I couldn't have had a better vacation. Was everything perfect? No. But the minor annoyances I encountered did not ruin my family's good time. I will give you some tips about how to make your trip as stress free as possible.

First, embarkation was a BREEZE. As is the theme with most of what my review will be, do everything in advance. You can upload your pictures, fill in all your information, print your set sail passes, and basically do your entire registration before you leave your house! If you do, once you get to the port all you have to do is find a check-in agent with an Ipad (there are plenty). They scan your bar codes, check your passports, and that's it. We were a little too early so we had to sit for about 10 minutes but then they started boarding and we were on within 5 minutes after that.

Most important thing to do is to make all reservations in advance. Meals, shows, onboard activities (Ifly and Northstar). Everything you can pre-book, do it. There are two reasons to do it. One, you don't want to stand on a guest services line at any point during your trip. There are about 4500 people on this trip and every time I walked past guest services, there was a ridiculously long line. Secondly, for the main attraction activities (Northstar and Ifly), you stand about a 0% chance of getting on them if you don't have reservations. This isn't the cruise line's fault. They do an amazing job considering the # of people they cram onto this boat. We had reservations for everything and had NO issue doing whatever we wanted.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

4 of us in the room. Bed was comfortable, and my kids slept on the pull out couch/futon. Only complaint is that when the pull out was open, it was extremely tight in the room and it blocked the door to the balcony about 90%. If the couch and the regular bed were in reversed position it would have made more sense.
