Overall
I planned this cruise a year in advance and it was definitely worth the wait. There have been a lot of negative Silversea reviews lately and I want to say I was not disappointed. I continue to be very impressed with Silversea and their brand of service. There were some minor issues (Wi-Fi and Self Service Laundry) but overall I was very satisfied with the service and overall appearance of the ship. Yes there are a few things that need fixing and the Silver Wind is scheduled for some updates later this year.
Pre Cruise
This was my third time on the Silver Wind so the cabin was as I expected. Everything was clean and in working order. I hope the scheduled update will include adding USB Ports. It would also be nice if the bathtubs were replaced with showers. Extra Diet Cokes and Diet Ginger Ale were provided based on our previous stays. It appears Silversea may be using a data base to maintain preferences, a very good idea!
The butler Chan arrived and introduced himself and offered any assistance. He was very attentive during the entire cruise stocking the bar and refrigerator. He also produced room service breakfast in 5 minutes when I accidentally listed an incorrect time on the request card and was running late for an excursion.
