Cabin: Owner's Suite with Large Balcony

Never been to Hawaii and did not want to spend many days at sea. We booked the owners suite with a large balcony and we were treated like royalty. We ate breakfast every morning in Cagneys and the food was great. We also ate dinner in Cagneys and we thought the food was great. We also ate in the Liberty 2 nights and the food was fine. I had read about how bad the food was and we were pleasantly surprised. Also all the waiters and everyone we came in contact with was great.

I was somewhat aprehensive about this cruise but it was great. Maybe we were treated different due to our cabin choice but I hope not. We have mainly cruised on Regent Seven Seas a luxury line so did not know what to expect after reading negative reviews but I have to say we had a wonderful time. I would consider NCL again with a large cabin and all the amenities we received.

Most of our excursions were booked through NCL and there were only 2 that were somewhat disappointing. Those were the fern grotto cruise and we booked the Manor House Laui and the food was not that good for what we paid. We did leave ahead of the masses and also had front row seating but anywhere in the venue would be good seats. We also received 2 drink tickets each so I do not know how much the drinks cost. Overall a great cruise. We also did the 3 day pre cruise package with NCL and our guide Leo for the 3 days was great. The hotel was just okay not great but we did book the ocean view room. The bathroom had mold growing around the tub. NCL might want to change hotels. We had dinner the first night at Top Of Waikiki and the food was great. We also ate one evening at Roy's and one night at Dukes and both were great. Make reservations ahead as we did.
